Switching to linux

Hi there,

I am thinking of switching my XP Server to linux and i have a couple of questions.

I have chosen Knoppix as my distro and i was wondering how easy it is set up the network and have access to it from an XP machine.

Also i already have all my backups on an NTFS partion on a disk, would i still be able to acccesss them under linux?
