Switching to RAID 0 & Win7

At the moment I am currently running Vista Ultimate. I bought a 2nd HDD for storage but I have never gotten around to installing it. But now I want to switch to RAID 0 and install Win7.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to some guides on how I would go about it. I already have what I need backed up. I am wondering do i just set up the HDDs in RAID 0 then install Win7 or do I need to format my existing HDD that I am currently using?

When you create the array (assuming RAID controller on the motherboard rather than software RAID created in Windows), it will wipe the partition table, in effect causing the disk to be blank.

So backup EVERYTHING you don't want to lose.
