After been on TalkTalk for 4 years, switching to BT, realising BT were terrible, switching back to TalkTalk and realising they're just as terrible we've decided to move to Sky Broadband.

What are your guys experiences with Sky?

My experiences are not good, we have outages fairly often and our speed at the minute is between 1-2mb on the up to 8mb package, I dont know if thats just our connection but I am probably going to switch to Virgin.

The only up to 8mb package sky offer is connect which is just a re-branded BT package which is shocking...

So long as your exchange is enabled for LLU then go for sky and you will be on their network, I've been on it for three years and been happy with it, just need to keep en eye on the sync speed for them doing there random checks lol

I'm on the Sky max upto 20mb (but actually get about 8mb) and i'm more than happy with it. Been with them for nearly aslong as they've been providing Broadband aswell

Been on Sky llu for years now and it's truly great especially when you consider the cost. Sky connect is bad due to BT and fair usage policy.

I had a bad time with sky, swore id never go back because their CS is truely aweful and had a lot of connection problems

moved to o2 and happy

If you get proper sky and not sky connect (BT really) then sky are actually pretty good. I'm connected at 18mb and it runs sweet. :)

x2 - solid connection, no outage, no limits on downloads and I get about 9.5mb which is good for me considering distance to exchange.

very happy

Same here. Haven't looked anywhere since.
I can't recommend it enough, as long as its the LLU service of course.

I connect at about 17mb and never see any slow downs even at peak times.

We've had Sky for the past year and a half on their 20mb package. It has been excellent; best internet connection I've ever had I reckon. LLU and close to the exchange though.

Router is rubbish, but hey, there's always a serpent in paradise right!

How have your experiences been of the actual switch to sky broadband? We're currently with talk talk and am itching to get away from them due to poor CS.

CS is not good from my single experience when moving house but apart from that time i've had ZERO reasons to call them so can't comment outside of that one AWFUL experience.

So long as the speeds are good and stable then no need to worry about CS!!

Sky's first line tech are useless, but once you get past that and speak to second line, they are very good.

ive only been with sky for about 3 weeks but so far im unsure, my line can support at least 3.5Mb but during there 10 day testing it never was tested above 2MB so im getting pretty poor speed which i was not expecting considering for 7 months with ADSL24 LLU i was getting 3.5Mb all the time.

Ive emailed them and if they sort it im sure they will be fine.
