SwitchResX

I had a problem with my imac in that the external monitor kept flickering black every few seconds. After much pulling out of hair, I managed to sort it by using SwitchResX, creating a new resolution with a slightly different refresh rate.

Well, I've now reinstalled Leopard, and I'm not sure what files SwitchResX changed / edited.
I have a mountable backup image of the old installation and I just need to know what files to copy across.

I dont know what settings I used either so can't redo it :$

Yeah, but I'm after the actual system files that SwitchResX changes (where the display/monitor information is stored), so I can copy it back onto the new installation from the archive.

I *think* I've managed to sort it by entering what I thought might be the right settings back into the new installation of SwitchResX

I think it's in a folder called overrides somewhere in /library/preferences

I think I sorted it now

One of the files was

/Users/Me/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.windowserver.{snip}.plist
