When Nike is pronounced Nikey

Nike were a client of ours at work, both pronunciations were used and accepted by Nike it seems. Something to do with the pronunciation of the Greek goddess IIRC.

cmon, like anyone who's had any formal education in English gets the spelling of swap wrong........

Is it wrong though?
