Hello guys been playing star wars the old republic and in large cities and bg's on high gfx settings its eating up all my ram between 3.7-9 Gb used and im hitting my page file giving me seriously choppy fps and its effecting gameplay quite badly.(note all backgrong programs shut only ventrillo running in background)

I have a Q6600 overclocked at 3.6 ghtz on custom water cooling with 4x1 gb sticks of ddr2 800 corsair xms on a asus rampage formula. it has 4 slots total but I currently have them all filled! do I spend 40-50 quid on 2x2gb old ddr2 memory and have to throw out 2 gb or buy 2 sets of 4x2gb sticks and go 8 gb. prices of ddr 2 are silly compared to ddr3 3 a full motherboard and cpu change I would rather not do as it means new waterblocks etc.

in a pickle but the choppyness of SWTOR is annoying me like mad never thought it would use so much ram. what do you lads advise

Get a set of 2x4GB from the Members Market.

I sold a set of 1033Mhz Dominator in 2x4GB for about £35 a few months ago. Plenty of it in the MM to be snapped up.

Speaking of the MM - Do you have access yet?
