Yes, because all the star wars fans, mmo fans, bioware fans, and a lot of WoW players are suddenly going to stop playing a game that is better than any other mmo at the minute according to everyone I know.

And how does GW2 coming out have anything to do with it? Because the guys who want TOR will spend about £20 or more on TOR plus subscription fees to play a game they'll leave for GW2.

Tell me, why do you try and stir up trouble in other MMO threads when you clearly have an intense dislike for anything that isn't GW2? It isn't intelligent or mature but childish. If you dislike a game and doubt it's chances then keep it to yourself as some people here only wish to learn about the game and it's players and have fun in a friendly environment - not for their game to be judged by other people.



Anyway, after that unpleasant subject, that crafting/skills picture was really helpful - think I know what skills I'm going for now. Cheers.
 
I wasnt stirring up trouble or judging the game, I simply asked if / how long till it goes free to play so that then I can play it too, since every other P2P MMO other than WoW is eventually doing that.

How is there anything unpleasant about asking that?

So do you actually expect someone to know when its going to be free to play?

the game isnt even released yet.. its a stupid baiting question.

This.

You're baiting everyone and implying that the game will have a short lifespan while at the same time furthering your support of GW2 by saying that it's coming out soon - what would that have to do with a game going F2P? They're both big titles and very anticipated, who's to say one is better than the other at this stage?
Baiting is the precise word for it, and yes, it is unpleasant.

Yea, I'd reckon this much tbh. I'd be very surprised if the game can maintain a significant subscriber base around a year after its launch in todays market.

Oh, my mistake. Judging by the OP I thought the game had already been released. Im curious about every P2P game (other than WoW) going FTP, I've asked this same thing about Rift many times and no one felt offended.
 
Let me point this out... this is totally different to WoW, Everquest, GWars etc.... every expansion will be like buying the next mass effect episode.

Chew on that and stop hijacking a very useful thread.

And who says were offended? You, someone who has little to no knowledge of us yet you're assuming what were feeling..:rolleyes:
And I'm annoyed that you're baiting, not offended or anything else like that. I assume you'd be annoyed if I went out and started baiting people in the thread of a game you like?

I wouldnt object to it, but I am just hoping that this game will go FTP soon because it looks very interesting and I want to play it, but I wont pay fees to play games.
