ive had to disable sygate because with it on i cannot share my internet. my question is will my computer be safe with just the xp sp2 firewall on? is there another free firewall that wont interupt my network?

not having used the program, its possible im wrong

but will sygate not even have an option to allow all local traffic ? every firewall ive used has had seperate settings for blocking net/local traffic. Most of them blocked all local traffic by default, but this could be changed in the options

I have not used it for a while, but it has got a setting in the options to allow local traffic. It is there you just got to find it.
