SymbOS.Commwarrior.A virus problem

I plugged my Ericsson phone into my laptop today to get a picture I took earlier, and got a Norton Antivirus pop up saying I have SymbOS.Commwarrior.A however the only removal advice it has is how to remove it from mobile phones, nothing about removing it from my pc.

I have tried booting into safe mode, and running an up to date AVG scan, and it didn't find anything. I have tried system restoring back to yesterday, and the damn thing keeps popping up.

Any advise?

Its probably hidden in your restore points, disable your restore point do all the scans reactivate restore and hopefully that will sort it.

Remove Norton and AVG, USE Avast, Sygate & Adaware SE. Together I find them the best. Norton creates nothing but problems!

Running a Avast scan in safe mode just now.

Strangly, when trying to run norton in safe mode it crashes, which is really bizzare

Not bizzarre at all, this is normal for Norton. Most people who use it have extreme performance problems with their PC after a while. God knows why people continue to buy it, Iy IS UTTERLEY @#&$!

If you have been anywhere near ocuk forums in the last 6 months, you would know that Sygate is being taken over by Norton :rolleyes:

Well, it seems like avast has picked it up. But it still has another 100k files to go through.

holy hell Avast picked up on 1008 infected files. Avast is my new favourite AntiVirus software
