Sync issues with Outlook 2013 and Exchange 2010?

Hi Guys,

Having a bit of a strange issue. I just upgraded my work PC to Outlook 2013 so I could have a copy of Excel that didn't screw up every time scrolled or zoomed. But thats another story.

I wiped Office 2010 and installed 2013 from MVLS. Everything worked fine, Synced up to Exchange, no problems. Outlook took a fair bit longer to connect to Exchange than the old version but didn't think much of it.

Then an email pinged on my phone, and nothing in Outlook. I hit update folder, and nothing. Just stuck at "Processing" it seems the only way to make it sync is to exit Outlook and open again! The thing that I am hoping will point me in the right direction is that "UPDATING ADDRESS BOOKS" is permanently there on the bottom right of the screen.

Has anyone come across this and or does anyone have an idea? Been tearing my hair out on this one.

Thanks,
V

Volkan,

I have 2013 installed at home on my main pc and have it linked to Virgin Media email (I know its not exchange). I also had problems syncing last night with it not doing anything, took several outlook restarts and and full pc reboot. My VM email was sync fine else where. Do wonder if its a bug in Outlook 2013 but havent had the time to look into the details.

Running Outlook 2013 on my PC at work and it goes no problems.

Did you add a new profile or use your old one? May be worth putting a new one in if you didn't.
