Hi guys does anyone know of any software that will do this for me?
At the moment I have 3 HDDs which I want to backup.

1st HDD is my Main HDD which is 50% folders and 50% folder shortcuts which point to the other 2 HDD's.

Want I was is some sync software that I can run from HDD1 and will copy across the files to a external (very large HDD) but instead of it copying the shortcut folder it copies the actual folder on the HDD2/3 drives.
So instead of having HDD1 mirrored exactly with 50% fodlers and 50% folder shortcuts I have 100% folders no 1kb files pointing to HDD2/3.

Yes I could sync each HDD but then I would still get a lot of 1KB folder shortcuts also copied over which I do not want

yea synctoy doesnt copy the actual files on the second and third HDD but the actual shortcut to the files.

It copies over Foldername.ink (the shortcut to HDD2) instead of copying Foldername itself which is what I want.
Will any sync program do this?

yes, synctoy does this

dont know how you have set it up, but all you need to do is set folder pairs and it will make an exact copy

Yea thats it I dont want an exact copy an exact copy means copying the shortcuts which I do not want. I want it to recognise its a shortcut and to go to the shortcut location and copy the actual files on the other HDD to the external drive.
Instead its just copying the actual shortcuts so I have a lot of empty folders on my external drive which is pointing to the real locations on my internal drives.

i see what you mean now

so why dont you setup the sync folders with the original folder location instead of with the shortcuts ?

You could setup the sync software for each HDD but exlcude the shortcuts on each HDD so you you get all your files but not the shortcuts.
I don't know any software that does what you want so this is what I would do. Personally I use Goodsync, it is paid for but found it relaible and quite easy to use.
