Sync Work Calendar with iCloud ?

I have my mac at home which syncs with my devices.

I also have a work laptop, which connects via work's exchange server. But this only works while connected to the network at the office.

To do it from home, we have to use VPN. There is no external connection

Any idea of the best way to get icloud to sync my calendar with it ?

I have a gmail calendar which I sync with all my idevices.

I then install google calendar sync on work pc and this syncs my work cal with my gmail one

Unless your Work Laptop is a Macbook, then I don't think you can do it.
