Syncback Issues!

Hey,

Setting SyncBack for my old man and it's annoying the hell out of me! So I want it to backup his entire user directory in Vista (C:\Users\Dad), but obviously a lot of the AppData files etc. are read-locked and refuse to copy. So I selected certain sub-directories only (Documents, Pictures, Music etc.) and thought that would work.

However every time new AppData folders are created, SyncBack insists on auto adding them and throws up an assload of errors! If I set it to "ignore new folders", then it refuses to acknowledge new folders which are created within the folders I actually want to back up

So the only way around it would be to have 5 different profiles for each of the folders I want to backup which is just really annoying. Is there anyway around this please?!

Cheers,

Suman

So having multiple sync profiles then? Is there anyway to run them all with one click?

Suman

Create individual profiles for Docs, Music, Pictures and Videos and add them to a group.

In Preferences tick "Show Groups Only" and run the Group when you need to.

Additionly you can create filters for each profile to include/exclude files/folders.

[Edit] Ok, worked out how to create groups, but is there any way to run them "silently" in succession without needing to press "OK" before every individual profile is run?

Cheers,

Suman
