Hi guys, I'm getting a little stuck here. Basically I want to synchronize files between two computers using Windows XP Home Edition. I have found guides on the net and in the Help and Support thingy talking about Sharing files, making them available offline and using the Synchronise Manager to synchronise the files when I log on or off.

What I cant get to the bottom of is; can you do this with XP Home? Or do I need Professional. If I do need Pro then why would it be in the Windows Help and Support on my computer?

Each guide refers to the section of Offline Files is under My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > Offline Files....but it isnt there!

Please help!
Regards, Mark.

Microsoft Synctoy will do the job and its very easy to understand and use.

I am not entirely sure but I thought that offline folders was only available when on a LAN enviroment with XP Pro? Dont quote me on that but I certainly cannot access it on my PC to PC here on a LAN both running XP Home edition.

Quick Edit:

Yup, Offline Folders is a XP Pro thing only I am afraid:
