syncing contacts on new macbook

i will be getting my new macbook soon, and i want to be able to resync my iphone from my pc to the macbook.

will it give me the option to backup my contacts?

or how do i back up my contacts and add them back on after?

Easiest way is use mobileme free trial?

Sync ur pc to mobile me, then sync ur mac to mobile me.

Or just plug in your iphone, and sync your phone to your mac.

I do belive you can tell iTunes to do the sync the other way on a one time only basis (I.e copy the contacts from your iPhone to the Mac)

I'm at work so cannot verify this but I swear that's what I did.
