Since syncing iPhone to Google contacts (which is brilliant, just need push e-mail next), I've neglected my local Address Book, but found it useful in the past and now have a use again...

There's a tickbox option in Address Book preferences to sync with Google contacts, but it seems to do nothing. It was full of all the Google rubbish and duplicates that got brought down presumably when I did the sync with Google from iTunes just before cutting Address Book loose.

So, I deleted all of those - leaving emptiness. Also removed and re-added Google account in AB preferences, still nothing. Any ideas? :)

It syncs fine between my iPhone and Google, I've not got a problem with that - I want Google to sync to my AB on my iMac.

Hi,

If I am understanding this correctly, you have over the air sync enabled for your iPhone and Google contacts etc but would like to be able to sync your OS X address book also.

I believe this thread covers the solution which appears to involve two terminal commands to allow iSync the ability to sync data between the AB and Google.

I hope this helps.
