Hi Guys (and girls)

My laptop died, and im now running a new pc.

I installed itunes, and synced my phone, and its copied from what i can tell all/most of the music that was on my phone into itunes. (I have some backups if some music is missing)

However when i select to sync music/apps and things, itunes tells me my iphone is set up to sync with one computer, and if i proceed to set it to sync with the new computer, everything will be erased and replaced with the new library contents.

My question is what am I going to lose and how can i prevent it in the process. I have made a backup of the phone in itunes, can I sync it then restore from backup?

I dont want to lose my texts, settings etc.

Thanks for any advice.

Don't forget to download all your photos as you will lose them if you sync them.

Also, right click on your iPhone in iTunes on the left-bar and select Transfer Purchases and also do a backup.

yes don't forget the photos. I usually just browse the phone in explorer and copy the photos across.

Lost some good pics because of this.

Adseybear, the message you are getting warnings you that something in the phone is not in the library(either apps, or music), and that syncing now will delete those apps/music off the phone.

The only way to avoid this message is to have the library contain the same apps / music as before. Doing a transfer purchases on the phone will take care of the apps and any purchased music, but you'll need to take care of the rest.

For an explanation of contacts / photos / etc you might want to watch my video:
