Syncing iPhone without losing songs after Mac died

Sorry this has probably been asked a million times before, but I'll do it again.

My Mac Mini died this week which means I can't sync my iPhone to my other machine without losing all the tunes. How can I temporarily use iTunes on my EEE box to download podcasts which I listen to every day, and not lose the existing tracks on my iPhone once I sync?

Can't use iTunes, once you re-sync you will loose all your songs. Could try pulling them off the iPhone and then add them again?

Use it to get the music off and back into your new library, then when you sync, you won't loose your songs. Then you can download podcasts to your hearts content.
