hi i recently purchased my SyncMaster 215TW 21 inch and would like to know if i can plug my freeview box directly into using its rgb input. Is this how I would connect it? Is there any way if not? Thanks in advance :)

That got me thinking. Would it be posible to connect a freeview box to a monitor via the vga connector?

Such as one like this I found on ebay:

Could plug freeview boxes sound jack into a hifi to get sound. Right?

yeah thats a good idea...my box has two scarts so would the spare scart (after i have plugged the scart-vga into my monitor) be used to plug into the stereo via a scart-rgb cable as you mentioned ealier.

You mean, use one scart socket to output video to your monitor and the other scart to output sound to your stereo?

I'm not 100% sure, better see what other ppl make of it.

Use the freeview box Scart output to pass the video to the 215TW and to output the sound use that RCA or S/PDIF connected to an HI-FI.
That should do the trick.

Hi All

I'm interested in connecting a spare Freeview box to my Dell 2407WFP monitor.

What's the difference between this 'basic' lead and a Scart to VGA Syncblaster cable (at 3 to 4 times the price)?

What about RGB Scart to Component?

Has anyone tried the ‘basic’ lead and if so does it work and is the picture as good as you expected?
