Syncmaster 920n text problems?

Hi all,

Just got a syncmaster 920n and whilst it all looked good, the text looks blurred in places ... almost as if someone has taken a rubber to the screen and smudged it! Anyone got any ideas?Also setting it to 1280x1024 means I cant set it to 75hz like the box says as my graphics drivers dont give the option?

Why do you need to use 75 Hz? Just use 1280*1024@60 Hz. Any lower res than 1280*1024 and windows will look blurry. If text is still blurry in 1280*1024 then turn on ClearType (display properties->Appearance->Effects->Use the following method to clean edge of screen fonts->ClearType).

You can force 75 Hz btw if you really need to. Just click the 'show modes this monitor cannot do' box and select 75 Hz.

Thanks for the reply mate, I fixed the blurry text by setting it back to all its defaults and it was fine
