Didn't realise they were bringing out a new Deus Ex game so soon ;)

Does look pretty good even with the shameless rip off feel to it, one to keep an eye on :)

Another reboot thats nothing like its predecessor.

I'll likely steer clear, i'm yet to see a reboot that's gone in a different direction that's any good.

And before anyone brings it up, I hated Fallout 3, it was nowhere near as good as its predecessors for me.

So disappointed when I saw the direction they'd taken this. I am a huge fan of the first two games, they're up there amongst my all time favourites.

I will be keeping an eye on this but I'm not as interested as I first was :(

I liked Fallout 3 for what it was but 1 and 2 were so much better, they're up there with syndicate in my all time favourite games :)

I had no idea that this was a reboot of a previous title, this new trailer reveals all though

Giving this a little bump as I'm pretty interested right now.

Yes, I'm probably interested for the wrong reasons. I remember playing this on the Amiga as a kid.

But the trailer doesn't look so bad?

I'm tempted to pre-order. I've got a £25 Play voucher burning a hole in my pocket.

Syndicate and Syndicate Wars was so good.
Anyone know if I can DL Syndicate Wars from somewhere and play it on a Mac? This new version looks interesting, but nothing like its predecessors.

Syndicate Wars was a great isometric game, used to put many hours into the PC version back when it was released.

Syndicate Wars appealed to me more then Syndicate however both were truly good games. Syndicate Wars was always one of those games where sometimes you really didn’t know what side to take, but the ‘church of the new epoch’ was always an excellent idea back in the day.

The intro to Syndicate Wars on the Playstation was also vastly different to the one for the PC, I felt the PC actually emphasised its tactile game style and told you more of what was going on then the PS intro which seemed to concentrate purely on its action…

I’ve watched the videos for the new Syndicate, its Dues Ex IMO and not Syndicate but until we either play the demo or see more of it, we won’t know. The FPS direction however I feel is wrong.

I agree, many reboots of old franchises etc do tend to fail, they never live up to what the previous games did… Fallout 3 mind is IMO quite a good game.

Reboots of old gaming franchises where the gameplay is changed drastically are not only for people who played the originals. Part of the target audience will be people like me who have obviously heard of the franchise but never played it because we either didn't have the means to or didn't like the type of gameplay. I didn't like the type of gameplay.

FPS' are more accessible these days (and more fun to play) so it makes sense to make it one. It will probably sell by the bucketload which will justify the new direction, unless its genuinely crap and reviews trash it.

I'm going to play the demo and make up my mind on that. Those dismissing it as a game because its not like the original/s are pretty narrow minded. Change is often good.

When is this due for release? I am bored of gaming at the moment and need a good FPS to reboot my thrill for games lol.

Downloaded it (XBL) and had a quick bash.

COD fans are gonna hate it. Deffo not a "run and shoot anything" fps.

Sounds promising lol Syndicate isn't meant to be 'run & gun' or instant killstreaks.

If they've done it right, this is syndicate going from top down view to a third person view but retains all the style and upgrading and world order as previous syndicate titles...

Oh and I must admit the new theme tune to this is quite catchy..!!
