Syndicate

Even though its an online multiplayer, i had a bash on a private game on my own.
With the right people in your "syndicate" it could turn out to be an awesome online game.
I'm not a big online gamer, I like my storylines.
The feel of the game did remind me of Ghost Recon back from 2001.

The demo does leave a lot of "do they have x y and z" questions unanswered.
Guess we are gonna have to wait until:-
It gets released in the US in a couple of days and we get a "full version demo clone cd" if you catch my drift.
OR
We wait until it gets released at the end of the month here in the yUK.

/me tries to find a reliable way of playing the original syndicate on win7.

its looks unique graphically but there is too much shaking of the screen and even when shoting. i couldn't look at the motion for more then 5 minutes before getting sick

I don't know what to make of it. Seemed really confusing. I need some kind of tutorial to ease me in. :D

I thought this as well.
Played with some friends and it was ******* hard plus we didn't really know what we were doing which made it harder! I think we died maybe 3 or 4 teams(as a team) before we finished the demo.

I tried it last night and I couldn't work out what I was doing either.. Circles kept popping up in the screen and I could barely last 30 seconds before I was gunned down..

I tried camping in the corner to learn the controls, but me and the others in the team decided enough is enough and gave up... Hmmm not so promising afterall..

I loved Syndicate/Wars but I also loved The Darkness and Butcher Bay/Dark Athena. If this is anything like their last games we can expect top level voicework and great story with some excellent gameplay.

I'm ok with this.

EDIT: Of course I'm assuming that the work that went into the co-op side of it hasn't detracted from what they are good at, because what they are good at is great.

It's a shame they never released a single player demo. I was intrigued by this but with SSX and Mass Effect 3 both imminent this will probably get left until it goes cheap.

Got my pre-order in yesterday.
Finish work at 3pm today.
I'll be settled on the sofa by 4pm shooting things :D

Crikey. There seems to be no discussion about the actual game on here after release. I've just got it today. So far, I love the atmosphere but not quite sure what I'm doing with all this DART stuff. I'm just shooting yellow auras. :D

Was somewhat surprised too, I'm really enjoying it at the moment :D haven't had a chance to play much of it yet but I've been spending more time doing co-op than the Single Player, it's so much more fun :D

Rented it completed it returned it. really wasnt all that impressed but i would have liked to have done the coop but nobody i know would get the game.

It was an ok shooter but id have been upset if id paid £40 for it.

It's only £15ish now from some places (got mine from the rainforest for £17), I'd play it for the co-op alone since it has some neat MMO-like features and is a blast with friends. Can be pretty horrible with randomers as usual though, people just rushing through the level dying every step of the way because they don't pay attention to the objectives etc. Although it is hilarious watching your points rack up when you play as a healer, gaining like three times the points of the try-hard morons because of the amount you have to heal them.
