Trying to set up the synergy half life 2 mod and can't get it working, have followed the instructions on the site but can't get it to work. Has anybody else got it working, What are the port numbers somebody has used?

hosting and connecting, we have port forwarded, and add exception in windows firewall, but the game doesn't show up in the lan tab and when right clicking friend in steam to join it says server not responding.
