Hi Everybody,

Just waiting for my NAS to get delivered is Synology 411j and I will be using it to download Usenet files.

Will it to all the extracting for me or will I have to do that manually?
My Grabit program does everything for me so just hoping this was the same

Thanks,

You will have to do it manually. There maybe another NZB 3rd party app that will do it check the sysnology forums.

I just found Sabnzb should do it, I'm just going to wait till tomorrow to see if it works.

Turned out the Synology was already delivered :D
My parents didn't tell me that it had arrived earlier during the week

Anyway, the Saznzbd is working really well. However, it hasn't unrar'd one download so will download again with Grabit and try it

Why can't anything be simple :(

While this Sabnzbd was pretty good its extremely flakey!

I set it up to download a large file over night, I then go to bed and turn my laptop off. Wake up the next morning firstly unable to log onto Sabnzbd, I have to stop the process and open it again. But it hasn't completed my download!!!

Its happened so many times, its just crap :(
I am so annoyed that it just doesn't work properly

Hmm, sabnzbd has coped happily for me with either a large single NZB (50GB was the largest single download). It took a lot of time to par check & unrar though!

It's also coped with a 200GB queue comprising around 20-30 individual items, it just chugged merrily through it.

Does the console of SABNzb or the logs offer any insight into what's happening? Could be that on that system it's still working just flat out on the CPU...

I have started to use the inbuilt usenet program. Will see how it fares when I get home on Friday. Hopefully it'll all be ok.

It works fine, but when I leave it and turn my laptop off and come back thats when the problems arise :s

I will get this batch of downloads out the way and then look into solving the problem
