I've swapped routers from my TP Link one to the Netgear D7000 and most things seem to have gone OK but for some reason Download Station isn't letting me download any torrents.

Uploading seems to work OK but a new download is just sat there saying "Status: Downloading" but it's sat at 0.00 KB/s!?!?!

I've tried opening the ports 6881, 16881 and 5000 but can't seem to crack it!

I've had a look back in my old TP Link router and it doesn't look like I had any ports forwarded on there and it worked just fine!

Can anyone point me in the right direction??

UPnP is enabled but I'm sorry I don't know what "Linux isos" is!

Thanks for the reply btw - this is driving me mad!

Thanks for the link - I wasn't expecting it to be any different to the torrents I've been trying to download but to my surprise it's downloaded fine!?!?

So am I to assume that it's not the router or Diskstation and it's actually an issue with the torrents I'm trying to download? (how or why would there be any difference though?)

*edit* this just gets stranger - if I download uTorrent on my laptop I can download any torrent I like just fine - so it's basically the "Download Station" on my NAS that has issues with *some* torrent sites!?!?

Different trackers, etc.

Some of the well known public trackers may take a minute or two to provide the peers to the client due to heavy server load.

Are the torrents using regular tracker(s), DHT, or both?

uTorrent has its own DHT network. I don't know what Synology does.

Not sure exactly why but the problem seems to have been sorted!

I think my old router gateway was still in my NAS settings somewhere and all torrents I'm trying are now working!

I still find it weird that some worked and others didn't though - you'd have thought it would be an all or nothing kind of situation!?!?!
