Hi there

Currently i have a htpc build which consists of

AMD A5300 APU
4Gb Ram
60gb SSD
4Tb HDD
500W PSU

Have it running sickbeard and couchpotatoe as well as kodi which it boots into after a set delay

Have it cased in a fractal node 605 under the stairs with all the TV equipment etc and run all those through a 4x2 hdmi swtich.....

Now I'm thinking its time to sort my cat6 cabling out to the upstairs rooms as i made a big of a pigs ear of it last time although it works its not run into faceplates etc and i'll be tidying it up shortly.

I'm debating if i actually need to bother with that htpc and just go for a synology and let that run all the apps i currently have. Only issue is i will have to run plex - which i don't mind but i preferred kodi as its native to me and have been using it for some time.

Quick question on plex - I'm assuming from memory it can sort DD DTS and playback easily enough? We have a playbar and sub in the living room and a playbar minus sub in the master bedroom.

So to summarise should i go for a NAS and let it handle the work or go with a NUC?

Be great if anyone here has a similar setup and could let me know how they get on with it.

Thanks
