Synology DSM 4.1 launch

Well, today was supposedly the DSM 4.1 launch and rumoured new features/upgrades:

Beta rumoured for tonight with full release July 4th.

Feature list for DSM 4.1 taken from the German NAS forum:

• new Video Station to organize all videos you have on your NAS
• importing Meta data from International Movie Database
• able to record TV through USB DVB-sticks (they said they only tested DVB-T sticks yet)
• DS video app to use Video Stations functions on the go
• Photo Station now with "Timeline"-function to display images across folders by year
• Photo Station supporting face recognition
• Audio Station with new UI
• personal Audio Station coming, comparable to personal Photo Station
• Synchronised Playback across multiple AirPlay-devices
• lyrics on Audio Station
• connecting to internet via proxy server
• new web app packages (probably through package center; mediawiki, moodle, osticket, joomla, drupal, phpBB, sugarCRM, osCommerce, magento)
• synchronisation of folders with consolidation of multiple sources
• IT-self service including paste bin accessible by every user and easy sharing through QuickConnect using the Synology gofile.me service
• SFTP support
• FXP support for ftp server
• Samba update to version 3.6
• Offline mode of iOS DS audio
• new UI for Android DS audio and ability to edit playlists
• broad Windows Phone 7 support also with apps DS audio and DS photo+
• DS download app for Download Station (first iOS, Android to be added later)
• unpacking zip files with Download Station including password
• faster creation of preview pictures used for Photo Station and others
• Media Server supporting indexing of external drives
• iTunes supporting more formats through transcoding

Nothing here yet either. Perhaps the dsm doesn't arrive until the 4th then. Oh well not long to go

I have a 211j but I can only get 6MB download speed using download station anyone know how to get my full 12MB?

I know. As much as I love the plex server install I'd really like a native app from Synology to handle video.

You have to install DSM 4.1 then after go to package centre and update what you have installed.

Loving timeline in photostation and download station has an un-zip option..still looking

Slightly off-track but have they added blocklists to the default torrent client?
I know it wasn't possible in v3.* and the only solution was to muck around with getting Transmission installed.

Sorry dude I don't use torrent. Download station won't un-rar files Grrrr I hope they add un-rar soon.

Not yet. I'm trying to get subs working in Video Station also it users VLC in a web page to play films.

No it's a beta so make sure you can backup all your files just in case things go wrong.

All backed up, fairly new unit so i'll give it a try, i like the idea of being able to record TV through USB DVB-sticks.

When you guys install Video Station can you try subs please.
I can't get them to work in full screen mode and other won't work at all
