Synology® ARM® Performance Acceleration Technology

Yep best to have it static. You could always map the drive to the IP rather than the name of the server as well if it still doesn't work right.

I use a superhub too. I assume the NAS is on a dynamic ip as standard? Given it a static ip now and that seem's to have work. fingers crossed!

As I already said it has a static ip. I used the nas router setup to do it for me
So even if I reset the SH the static ip will be created auto with the same IP

Oh see you got it working now :)

Nice - saw this yesterday, but didn't read down far enough to see my 109 *is* supported :D
One to download after work, methinks !

Didn't have any terminal tweaks unfortunately, performance seems slightly better but I have a fairly old box a 409 so not sure how much to expect really. MKV playback still pegs the CPU at 100% and causes pausing playback. But converted to mp4 it plays fine even the same size file. Some say it might be an interlaced audio issue but no idea, probably best to get a new one or ditch it altogether for a home build.

Yes mine seems a touch better, can't quantify it though and may be imagining it......

On a side note, anyone know a good simple way to stream movies fomr my DS210j to an iPad2?

Shame they don't do a DSVideo app....

I've only changed the SSH port along with a few other things, but I really need to go thru all the .conf files that I've changed and back them up really before I upgrade, as going from DSM 3.1 to 3.2 totally wiped out all my tweaks. :o

Try AcePlayer, it's only a couple of quid and play almost every video on my iPad 1 although it struggled with 720p and 1080p stuff. Your iPad will perform better, I imagine. :)
