Hi all,
so.....to breathe life into some of our ailing Dell desktops, I’ve bought SSD’s and more ram for them.
However with quite a few to do and some of them seem to have software related ‘issues’, I’d prefer to make a base image of win 7 pro x64 with Office 2013 (VL) and a few other apps on there so that I can deploy this image to the revamped machines. Some other apps require activation some don't.
Won't be using WDS or similar to deploy, just sysprep, put the new SSD in and go.

The Dell desktops are all identical and out of warranty, and when a dell oem w7 disk has been used to re-image in the past there has been no need to re-activate windows (as it’s a dell disk).
Never really sysprepped before.
Anyone got any experience with this that I can get some advice on please?

Some of the desktops can simply be cloned onto the SSD as the user profiles and software on there is working fine. It’s the few that have OS issues that I want to sysprep from scratch.

Step by step for my particular situation would be ideal if anyone feels helpful enough. :)

I'm not interested in "oh but you need a VL licence to be able to do this" kind of answers please. Just looking for help in actually doing it.

Thanks :)
