Afternoon gents,

few questions for you all.

1) My current system

i5 2500k @4ghz
8gb ddr3
128gb ssd
GTX 960
Cooler master Silent Pro M 700W PSU

Currently i'm playing wow, overwatch, diablo.

I do some streaming and recording.

I have around £1200 to spend on something new. No Monitor/keyboard/mouse is required but I will need an operating system.

What should I keep and what should I replace?

Upgrade your GPU.

Gtx 970 can be had for £199
RX 480 AIB can be had for around 250
Gtx 980 ti can be had for a bit over 350
Gtx 1070 for a bit over 400

I suspect you've an aftermarket cpu cooler and your CPU is Overclocked? If not that might be worth looking into.

My2500k is over clocked at 4ghz atm. I've got a Titan fenrir on it and it's sitting at 55 degrees under load for about a year now.

Why don't you try upgrading the GPU, and of you're not happy with performance, See about going skylake.

I'd probably go rx480 or 1070 as that'll give you some headroom into 1440p although not on ultra settings.

I'm in a similar position. I'm thinking of getting a 1070 or 1080 with a GSync 2K monitor, then upgrading to Skylake a few months down the line. That'll basically leave me with a spare 1080p system with a GTX970. :D

You can probably crank a bit more out of your 2500K, mine will go to 5GHz but the temps are a bit too high in summer for me to be happy with. :)
