Just like to say that my Titan Goliath system arrived this evening after ordering it on Saturday afternoon.

I chose the Coolermaster Elite case, together with the Asus GeForce GTX260 card, and a 1.5Tb drive. Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit too.

All working out of the box, well packed in a larger box with plenty of padding, had a quick look for damage under the hood before plugging in. But all looked good.

Not bad, considering this was an International Export, they shipped it from the UK on Monday afternoon and it got to northern spain last night. It's then made it's way down to Andalucia overnight.

Nice thing about the Spanish is they deliver in the evening, so no need to take time off work.

Also, on the website they advertise the GTX 260 as an Asus, but I got a BFG clocking at 630Mhz a very welcome upgrade. The i7 is pre-clocked by OC at 3.4Ghz and all seemed stable running Prime95 for a while.

I am loving it already, although need to do some installs etc... before I know I really love it. Will try the Crysis demo first...

I've been using 2 Athlon 2800+ MPs for the last few years and this is my first upgrade for probably around 4-5 years... Can't believe how silent this system is and yet so fast... May choose to upgrade the cooler with a Corsair H50 sometime in the future, but I'm in no hurry until the hot Spanish summers :D

Thanks OC!

Download CPU-Z, this will show all details regards cpu speed ect.

One thing to remember is speedstep and Intel Turbo may be enabled which will vary the cpu speed.

Gilesc,

Nice system :) pleased all arrived well, it's mandatory to post pics of your new rig :D

First thing I did was go into the BIOS (Hit Del key at boot up)
Select F12 and load the OC profile

Download: Prime 95, Core Temp, Z - CPU and GPU-Z (You can find links to these in the Overclocking section of the forums - there's a sticky post about overclocking tools).

Run Core Temp, Z - CPU and GPU-Z

The run Prime 95

You should cores max out at 3.4Ghz

You may find that when the system is not under load that it operates at lower frequencies. In my mind this is a good thing.

Welcome to he forums.:)

To test wether the system is overclocked, download and run this application.

Prime95

Load up cpuz and while prime95 is running this wil display your current clockspeed.

Overclocked!

Thanks everybody for the the advice. I ran a few of those programs and it looks like it has been succesfully overclocked. I would assume that OC would only do this if it was safe, i'm wondering now how much further it could be safely overclocked in an Antec 300

Prime95 tests your CPUs to levels that you are unlikely to reach even through the most gruelling tasks.

I've not checked all the BIOS settings, but with the Gigabyte, you can set up warnings if your CPUs are getting too hot. If you have concerns edit your BIOS setup to enable these warnings.

I'm quite happy with the build quality on mine, just been out for a pint or two and found the system happily priming away when I got back, with some pretty stable core temps.
