Earlier on my system all of a sudden blue screened while downloading a few files, and watching youtube videos. Couldnt get a screenshot of the error page as the system shut down quickly. I checked the event logs in control panel and the following critical error showed up.

The system has rebooted without cleanly shuting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed or lost power unexpectedly

system kernel-power, event id 41 task category (63)

The rig is currently running at stock, win 7 64 home premium.

Spec.

I7 920 DO
asus p6t dlx v2
6gb ocz reaper 1600mhz c7
geforce 8800gt (latest drivers)
Samsung F1 320gb hdd, (os drive)
Western digital 250gb, (data storage)
Thermaltake toughpower 750w psu.

I also ran the windows memory diagnostic without error. Any advice/help, thanks inadvance

If it only happened the once then I would personally not worry, my system has BSOD on the odd occasion, yet is seems stable when running various stress test programs.

Sorry I can not be much more help.

Thanks for the reassurance RJC, i have a sneaking suspicion that it may have been caused by my netgear wpn 111 usb wireless adapter. Id been downloading files all evening, started to watch a few videos on youtube, then it bsod'ed, it used to cause a few freezes on my previous s775 rig.

That's a possibility, especially as it coursed problems in your old pc.
Are there any updated driver you could try or is a case of investing in new one :p

Probably a new one (different manufacturer/or wireless pci card). Unfortunately netgears driver support is dire, i have to use a very old vista driver and run it under vista compatibility in win 7.
