I'm doing an initial install of System Center DPM 2012 R2. Now this requires an SQL Server instance and, from what I can understand, a licence to use an SQL Server Standard instance on the local machine solely for the purpose of supporting System Center is incorporated into the overall licence.

What I can't fathom is how I install SQL. I have the DPM ISO itself but it doesn't incorporate the SQL installer any more. I can download an evaluation copy of it, or use other media I have, but where do I get a product key from?

Anyone encountered this problem before?

If I log into VLSC and type in "System Center 2012 R2 Standard" (or DataCenter), then proceed to choose download via web browser, the first ISO in the list is SQL 2012 SP1, which is pre-pid'ed for our convenience.

Just tried this second and the SQL iso is still there for me!

All the individual products have their own ISO, but all come under the same download tab.

This is actually via an Action Pack sub rather than volume licensing. Will have a look what's on the download site and see if there's something similar.
