Hi,
Could you guys just check out this system before I order?

Might be worth bearing in mind I'm not really going to overclock. Might dabble a little, but would prefer lower sound to overclocking.

Already have a case, keyboard/mouse, soundcard, monitor etc.
Already have a heatsink. It's a ThermalTake Sonic Tower: LINK

Went for a Samsung HDD as the Samsungs I had in the past have always been quiet.

Picked the motherboard based on the fact that I could add an extra 8800 graphics card at some point in future if I wanted. I run at 1280x1024.

I'm on an XP2400 at the moment, so should hopefully be a nice big difference.

Comments/thoughts welcome :)

Cheers

Nah, I've got a Thermaltake Sonic Tower heatsink, and a Zalman fan to use. I thought it'd be a bit quieter. Does that CPU come with a hs + fan then?

Asus GeForce 8800 GTX HTDP 768MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail £324.99 (£381.86)
Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (CMPSU-520HXUK) £59.99 (£70.49)

and the gtx will be better than 2x gts in sli
Interesting......
So, the mobo will perform as good as my original choice?
And will the 520W be enough?
How are those Western Digitals for noise? I've found the Samsungs to be real good.
I know it's only £50 extra, but I was already pushing it at previous price :D

Paul,
Been thinking about it....
Would you say that the 8800 gts 320mb will be plenty for my screen res (1280x1024)?
Or would the GTX 768mb really be that much better?
I was thinking it might be better spending the extra on the Asus P5N32-E. It has more USB, x16 speed when using the SLI, and what's supposedly a better chipset.
Hmmm....I'm undecided now......
latest idea is this:

The ballistix you recommended is back in stock now.....£9 cheaper too!

Anyway, thanks for all your recommendation guys. Just gotta decide wether to shell out for the GTX card or not......so tempting......
