I'm building a system for my mum. I already have a monitor, & windows7 64.
Is the SSD a good choice?
Any other comments?

what's it going to be used for ?

MS Office and Internet. Maybe some other applications, but not any games.

I assume you have a hdd to go in there aswell.

I've got an old hdd i could use with it. so, should i put the os on the ssd and my files on the hdd?

maybe there's no point in going for an ssd...

i'm not completely sure about the ssd though. i mean, will it be reliable for my mum to store her files on, or should they be on an additional hdd?

the cost of the one you quoted is overkill for the system.

think the ssd would be a bit overkill, maybe get a 320gb sata drive.


have you thought about her having a laptop ?

Ok, she said she doesn't want a laptop and I can't convince her since she had problems in the past.
