System Checks

hey,

Just woudering if anyone knows of a good system checker, which i can run to make sure my system is running well? however at this point i am not running a OS, is there one i can run without it?

You can run things like 3DMark and SuperPI and compare those against other benchmarks on similar hardware, but those are all from within an OS. very difficult to do anything without one. Best I can think of is just Memcheck, but thats kind of not very helpful

But they all seem complex, is there not just an easy checker like Prime95, which can work from BOOT. or would it be easyer to install an OS first them check the system?

The thing you have to remmeber is that a VAST majority of system stability comes from the combination of OS and drivers, not from the hardware as such. Why is there a need to run without the OS?
