System crash - Where are the logs?

Since installing the new VM Fusions beta I've been getting some strange system crashes where the whole system locks and I get the message telling me to push and hold the reset button.

I've reverted back to the pre-beta version of Fusions but I get the same problem and when I installed Parallels I had the same thing while installing XP.

Is there a log somewhere that I can look at which may help me troubleshoot this?

Applications -> Utilities -> Console.app
Theres a Log button you can click to access the other logs
