system develpment question: webcams and servers

hi peeps

a client of mine would like the ability to log into a subtle part of his website and see what is happening at any given time in his factory, so obviously the best way is a webcam/server solution...

basically, i have never done anything like this what would be involved?

• equipement?

• code? i'm thinking some simple asp stuff is good enought to get this going?

• security? ssl stuff?


basically just after a bit of advice on setting up a remote webcam system

You can by IP cameras that will plug straight into the network. Most of them have a handy web interface that you could use to view the camera.
