System Error (Focus)

hi, i have a Panasonic Lumix tz18 with a lens problem. the lens is stuck out when i turn it off, and when i turn it on, i get "System Error (Focus)" on the screen. I know the lens isn't jammed, because when i turn it on, the lens retracts and then extends like normal, but it won't focus. This problem probably happened because my mother carries it around in her handbag and drops things into the handbag (probably something heavy landed on the camera?). any ideas on how i can fix this?

I'd be surprised if anyone here could fix it, might have to send it to a repair centre or such like.
