good luck, I had to upgrade to a 4090 to get 144 fps in a low requirement game, (classic wow)it does but I only just ordered it today so wont know until I get it, either way Im improving my graphics from 60hz to 144 and it's 4k so better picture quality, I can't lose in that sense.
good point..op click on the sound icon bottom right on the starbar and make sure the sound is directed at the monitor sppeakers and not something else..otherwise it could be outputting to non existant speakers or an unused outputIs the volume on the monitor turned up? Windows will only output audio to one device at a time so either the rear audio ports or hdmi, there are third part apps to fix this.
I play WoW both Retail and Classicgood luck, I had to upgrade to a 4090 to get 144 fps in a low requirement game, (classic wow)
let us know how you get on with your new monitor speakers when you get it though! it will be interesting to find out!
Vault of Archavon(where I was having the larget fps problems) never felt, nor looked better than when I had the UHD running with the 4090 though onyxia's lair was proper mental looking too, all those whelps with no slow down!!
Do you know what, I wish to apologise for that comment.I am listening, the whole point was to get advice which I am taking onboard, and at the same time trying to troubleshoot my issues. Telling people they are wasting their time asking questions in the forums isn't helpful and pointless it just puts people off asking for advice in the first place.
I've tried every setup including intentionally picking different speakers like headset and stereo just incase something got crosswired but it still only gives sound if I plug my headset into it. The real test will be when I get this new monitor on Tuesday.good point..op click on the sound icon bottom right on the starbar and make sure the sound is directed at the monitor sppeakers and not something else..otherwise it could be outputting to non existant speakers or an unused output
It's ok I think it was a bad hair day that dayDo you know what, I wish to apologise for that comment.
I must have had a bad day or something as I never normally come out with comments like that!
I do not have much hair to have a bad hair day! lolIt's ok I think it was a bad hair day that day![]()
so if i get this right..before you took it into the shop everything was working? and they said when you picked it up some parts weren't working ...think you need to ask for you money back to start with that(later project, but a shop can't break something, give it back and charge you for it)I've tried every setup including intentionally picking different speakers like headset and stereo just incase something got crosswired but it still only gives sound if I plug my headset into it. I did notice in device manager that instead of having Nvidia High Defition Audio Device I now have Nvidia Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM) That came after I reinstalled the latest driver trying to get back other one so it's possible the name has changed in the driver update
probably, nothing wrong with the old monitor tbh
Do you mean running at 3600mhz, or clocked higher?I was running ok but decided to take my pc into a shop to get ram clocked
i do stuff like that a lot when drunk or a cable faulty or not seated correctly or i was silly and plugged a cable into the wrong socket on my sound card lol![]()

as last resort you could reset by taking out cmos battery for a minute or 2...could try rolling back the bios....I might do that...I don't know why i did it really..my pc working fine, but updated bios and have blue screened 5 times since then..read somewhere if everything working, don't mess...andof course i did...
another last resort..get the stuff you want off the pc and reinstall windows..then go onto gigabyte website and redownload all the drivers so everything is fresh. a pain, but if iyt was working before you took it into the shop, it's got to be software, not hardware I'm thinking

Nvidia rtx 3050Do you mean running at 3600mhz, or clocked higher?
https://www.techpowerup.com/cpu-specs/ryzen-5-4500.c2758#:~:text=The highest officially supported memory, you can go even higher.
Apparently the Ryzen 4500 only supports RAM up to 3200mhz officially, so having it set higher may be causing problems (especially with 4 sticks of RAM).
Not sure if it would cause audio problems, but you never know.
What GPU have you got?
not overclocked just just running at it's best potential with the addition of the 2 extra sticksDo you mean running at 3600mhz, or clocked higher?

The part the first shop said wasn't working was the control box that came with the case for syncing fans and lights, and they set fans to run at max which made them super noisy, second shop said control box was working replaced fans on radiator to make it quieter, changed bios settings and used iCue to sync everything. Audio issue only started to happen after I got it back from second shop so they both fso if i get this right..before you took it into the shop everything was working? and they said when you picked it up some parts weren't working ...think you need to ask for you money back to start with that(later project, but a shop can't break something, give it back and charge you for it)

think we've all done that at some point...30 mins faffing around the next day trying to work out why no sound all off a sudden and then the penny drops
it's the look on his face 1min in...we've all been there
what are you pc parts and monitor may ask? ie the fans and monitor and case (see rest above)The part the first shop said wasn't working was the control box that came with the case for syncing fans and lights, and they set fans to run at max which made them super noisy, second shop said control box was working replaced fans on radiator to make it quieter, changed bios settings and used iCue to sync everything. Audio issue only started to happen after I got it back from second shop so they both fed it up. I stopped the ram overworking by removing all the audio device drivers according to some forums it fixed the issue after drivers were reinstalled, but I haven't been able to get the monitor to show back up in device manager unser sound video and game controllers and the nvidia one that got reinstalled with redownloading the gpu drivers is different. The only way I'm really going to know for sure is with a new monitor, to tell if it's a hardware or software issue because the company for my current monitor no longer has device drivers in its support section for downloading. All I have in the monitor section is windows generic instead of the proper one.
Enjoy man, UHD was like a brand new world for me, some of the skylines are just beautiful!and Classic
what res it that though 4k 144 fps is harder to push out than you might thinkRazer keeps telling me everytime I log out they clocked over the 144 but with a monitor that only does 60 I don't experience it
case is game max mavity fans are game max rgb monitor is a dell and radiator is game max 240 rgb aio with thermalite rgb fans these replaced gamemax fans. Second shop used iCue to sync fans and lightswhat are you pc parts and monitor may ask? ie the fans and monitor and case (see rest above)
from sound of it (or rather what I'm reading) if it's a corsair case and fans..when it came back with fans at max, then you reset them via iCue, rather than in the bios...seems like 1st place wan't familiar with corsair software etc...otherwise you reset fan curve in bios, and no need for new fans..a shop replacing your fans doesn't make sense to me..(why knowing all your components is a good idea)
