Hi guys, I know theres a few programs out there that do system fans tweaking, but just looking at the list of usefull freeware programs was a bit overwhelming.

I would just like to know how you manage your fan speeds, and what program you find best in doing this?

thanks for any reply

Your bios may have options to do this automatically which is the first thing i would look for.

Failing that, your motherboard manufacturer may have a Windows utility that will adjust at least the CPU fan speed.

Or get speedfan , which works with 90% of the boards out there, but may take some time to set up correctly

You could also look into getting a fan controller if all the above fail :)

yeah my bios has automatic fan control options.. intel, legacy, or auto. and i've no idea how this changes anything.
my gigabyte cd came with a program named I-cool but it is totally useless and doesn't allow you to set speeds.

Im using a Gigabyte and they arnt very good for fan adjustments,

I have the same options as you in the bios. (not a lot)

you could get easytune 5 from HERE

But i reckon your best option would be a fan controller, like the zalman they sell on OcUK

Abit seem to be the best at fan controller options , and the Intel Board I had worked great too. Gigabyte dont seem to care :p

ok cool thanks Coolasmoo. yeah i'm gonna get some new fans soon to make it all a bit cooler, not sure if i wanna get a fan controller just yet but it would definatly do the job.
