Hi,

I am thinking about building a new PC system that will primarily be used for editing HD video and maybe some gaming.

Please can you give me your thoughts on the spec i have gone for:

I have not really got a clue on what fan and power supply to go for. Also, i just want a nice case, but not an expensive one. Something that just looks good.

I wanted a blu ray writer but i will probably get that later so i have stuck with a dvd burner for now.

Please can you give me your thoughts on the build as this is my first time i am doing a build.

you've chosen quite well overall

I think an nVidia gpu would be better supported for acceleration depending what applications you use.

when choosing a power supply make sure you google them for reviews that's your best method of comparison.

ive used the OCZ ModXStream Pro 500w in a few builds because I remember checking at the time and the StealthXStream wasn't recommended for overclocking or heavy use.
