System freeze / reboot problem

Hi

I have just had to do a complete reinstall on my system. Everything is up and running well but sometimes my system will freeze or reboot. The only additional hardware change that I've made is a Dell Ultrasharp 2407WFP 24" LCD Monitor.

Is the problem being caused by the fact that my HIS radeon 9800 pro is to weak for a 1920 x 1200 resolution?

I was thinking that maybe I nee more Ram. I only have 512 at the moment. Everthing was working normally until i added the monitor. I was told by another person on the forums taht I would need a better graphics card.

Now the PC is restarting whenever I close IE7?!?!?!
 
Have you ran Memtest to see if it is faulty ram?

Also try lowering the screen res and see if that makes any difference
 
Ram should be fine as I was using it before I added the screen.

I'll lower resolution and see what happens.

problem solved. Screen doesn't look so good now but at least I have an excuse to upgrade :)

Nope - problem was IE7. Deleted it and back to IE6. Now PC doesn't reboot when I close application.
