Hey guys,

Wondering if my temps are too hot?

Was playing Crysis 2 today on "Extreme" settings for about 10 mins while watching my system temps on another screen and core 1 and 4 on my Cpu hit 61c (I have HT Disabled)

My gpu hit 61c.

Crysis 2 then crashed...according to Event viewer...

My system specs-

i7 860 @ 3.8 Ghz (Prolimatech Mega Rev.B With 2x fans.
Gigabyte GA-P55-US3L
8GB Ripjaws 1600Mhz CL7
HD6950 OC Twin FrozR III Power Edition 2GB (900/1325)
Vertex 2 60Gb SSD
500GB +250GB HDD
Asus Xonar D1
Killer Nic K1 64mb
7 Home Premium X64.

Thoes temperatures are perfectly acceptable, especially on the graphics card.
How does you system do under games that are equally or more demanding?

Temps seem fine. my gfx hits 80. so :D.

Looks to be a windows error that caused the crash.

http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcr90

Download that and put it in the crysis folder.

Downloaded and put it in the Crysis folder,Il see how it goes. :)

Not really played anything more demanding that Crysis 2,Ive been playing GTA IV shortly after which we all know is a resource hog and my cpu and gpu is around 2-3c under load less.

I used the nomem restrict commands,GTA IV can eat over 4gb of ram. :D

61c on the graphics card and 62-63c on CPU is perfectly acceptable. Before my PC was overclocked CPU would reach 76c and graphics 80+ before crashing.

Now? I dont remember the last time I crashed :)

Was playing Crysis 2 for about 30 mins last night not one crash so looks like that file sorted out the problem. :)

I might still eventually get me a new Cpu cooler,Been thinking of the Corsair H60 but im not sure if it will be all that better than my Megahalems?

Before the Mega i had a CoolIT ECO,But it struggles under load...like 85c which was too hot for my liking.

Those temps are really good bud.

I have the same temps or slightly less

But i have 2500k stock
And 6950 stock.

And that's only in world of tanks.

Crysis would eat my system lol

What case and fans?

Maybe im expecting too much eh? :D

Then again i think its time i cleaned out my system and re-applied some new TP.

Crysis 2 runs quite well on Extreme settings 1920x 1080 120hz with Motion blur disabled, DX11 and High texture pack enabled ,If i put it on Ultra settings though my system gives in....unplayable.

Now if i had two 6950s im betting it would eat it.

As for my Case and fans,I have a modded CM 690 with an 120mm intake fan at the front where the DVD Drives would go...two 120s at the top and a 120 at the bottom....all stock Coolermaster fans.

on my megahalems i have 2x Yate loons either side and Shin Etsu TP,But im not sure if the Shin etsu i got was actually any good in the first place it was really too thick,im thinking it had dried up some. :/

You got the 1Gig or 2 Gig version?

i thought about Xfire but i would then have to upgrade my case as its not big enough, second Pci-e slot is right down the end of the mobo and PSU would be in the way.

Then i would also need a new PSU. :/
