Hi guys,
I seem to have run into major problems on my new upgrades. It was all running ok until i started to get some hangs during different games, not enough to warrant a concern first up and i thought perhaps my overclock was unstable and the temps being too high.
Today i re-installed my h60 cooler, cleaned, re-applied new paste etc and immediately temperatures were around 40C under load at the overclock. I ran some stability tests using Realbench and this is when the problems became more prominent. At first i thought it was the overlocks so i reverted back to optimised defaults but then the computer did not go past the bios logo before restarting over and over again.
I unplugged, took out the cmos battery and booted again and the bios presented with an option to load defaults which i did, then i got the windows screen saying the launch file is corrupted and needs repairing, then it did a system restore and i was back in windows, i ran some games and no problem at all. Then during a gaming session, the game froze but my mouse was still working, i tried minimizing the game and then tried opening another window but everything stopped responding. No BSODS or anything, i had to manually restart the pc and the whole "bios screen, restart, bios screen" started again. This was after default bios loadout, no overclocks or anything. I have constantly checked temperatures whenever i get back into windows using real temp and am im idling at 27C.
I can still get back into with clearing the cmos but the whole cycle starts again. In my uptime, i have gone through the event viewer and saw some critical errors, not all the same but some were kernel power, usbcharger not found and wuang.dll file missing or corrupted. I also noticed that everytime i get back into windows after clear cmos, it installs some drivers and antivirus and windows defender is switched off (windows notification keeps popping up).
There are so many variables here and i do not know where to begin. Please help
