Since upgrading my old PC slightly, Ive lost my IDE ports for my optical and I dont have another spare to do a clean install of windows.
Now I know I can back up my current HDD (with windows on) and do an image onto another HDD.
My question is, can I then use this image on the other HDD? or do I have to unpack it (like unzipping rars)?
Is there any quick way of moving the data from one HDD to another without a clean install?
