Just completed a build and for some reason there's an alarm going off everytime i power up the PC. I googled it and apparently it's a system intruder alarm of some sort. Looks like it's turned on by default inside the BIOS and I cannot for the life of me figure out where to turn if off. Any ideas? Don't have BIOS version number but it's a

Abit KN9 nForce Ultra (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard

I did take the CMOS battery out for 10min to get the mobo to work (which it does now), but now I have this constant beeping sound that sounds just like an alarm

on closer BIOS inspection, it says that my CPU fan is spinning at 0 RPM

Yet it's spinning away quite happily. could this be the cause of the constant beeping?

Its likely that is the case, look in your BIOS for a CPU fan failure warning setting and disable it.

Um, more than likely!

If you're running your CPU fan off the 3 pin connector on the motherboard, check its plugged in properly as it could be a faulty connection for the speed sensor.

If you're running it through a fan controller and its meant to not be connected, you can usually disable this alarm somewhere in your BIOS.

If its neither of the above then something's screwed!

PK!

Running it off 3 pin connector and it seems faulty. Not bother me though since i'm doing this build for a mate and he won't even know where to look for the BIOS, less care about CPU fan speed. It's spinning away and temps is around 29 celsius
