hi all hope some one can point me in the right direction here.

ok my pc keeps losing critical drivers, over the last few moths this has happened several times, sometimes have resulted in a format sometimes fixed windows with the install disc.

since this problem first started i have swopped ram, gone from 2gb geil to 8gb ocuk, swopped m/b gone from gigabyte 965pds3 to gigabyte p45 ds3r, still getting the same problems, this usually happens when i try to install something, today was when i tried to install the disc i got with my sony dslr, the installation ask for a restart and upon the restart will not reboot, the file that has been lost today is pxhelp20.sys.

rest of my system is
q6600
4870 1gb
2x500 wd in raid 0
windows vista 64 bit

dont really want to reinstall yet again, have just run a memory diagnostic found no problems, at a loss as to what is going wrong any help would be much appreciated

yeah i thought that, was hoping that it wasnt, but looks like another format is the order of the day as the vista repair isnt working now

hmm weird well after fighting for several hours the remedy was quite simple, i pressed f8 when the pc asked me if i wanted to to to safe mode/normal boot etc etc, selected last known good configuration and was back up and running, weird and simple.
