I have a Asus P5B Deluxe motherboard and 2x2Gb ocz reaper RAM with 32-bit windows xp. Its only showing 2.2Gb in the bois and in windows. Any help would be great!

Check your BIOS for a memory remapping option. I forget what the default is but set it to the opposite of whatever it's currently on.

Bit unusual that it's reporting 2.2GB though.

Guessing it is a typo, as desribed above, XP will only report 3.24Mb when using XP. There are options available to make it try and display that extra memory, but they are really not stable. (i.e. the /3GB switch and /PAE switch). It may even mean your machine won't boot so please don't try unless your prepared to get access to the boot.ini file and remove the switch after it all goes wrong!

3.24 mb is normal, do not worry about it :) If you want it to show 4gb, then get vista or a version of Linux.

Hi, (killerk's friend here) it's not a typo, BIOS and Windows will only show up as 2.2GB. 32-bit issue should'nt matter as it shows up wrong in BIOS too.

There were previously 4x1GB of OCZ ram which had the same problem.
He though it may have been a problem with having all 4 slots full, so he bought 2x2GB but is having the same prob.

I had a look in the bios last week for a remapping option but couldn't see one.
I found 1 option that looked relevant, changed it to the opposite value and it didn't make a difference (can't remember the name of it). Not that familiar with that type of BIOS though.
