Hi,

I wonder if anyone can shed some light on a really anoying problem I ahve please.

I have just put together a Intel Celly 2.7ghz system together using a QDI P4I865GA motherboard.

All seems to be working find with the exception that when Win XP shuts down the monitor blanks and the HDDs power off, but the system LED and all the fans stay running, I then have to power the system off manually.

I have checked all the Power Options on the BIOS, tried S1, S3 and S1/S3 and have checked win xp too under the Power options and there is nothing weird there, with the exception that there is no "Standby Option", only "Hibernate" amoung the Power Off options.

I will try a BIOS update, but does anyone else have any ideas plz.

Thanks

Very odd, have you checked that all the front panel leads etc are in the correct places? I'm sorry I don't have any particularly good suggestions as to how to deal with it other than either leave it on permanantly or get used to switching it off as if it were an AT, my mates laptop started doing this when he changed from Windows ME to XP but he never did find a solution.

I think I have found the problem, when XP was installed it was not recongised as having a ACPI compliant BIOS therefore, certain Power options have not been installed, and that would explaing the power off problem.

I'll do a BIOS upgrade and then try a re-install of XP.
